Good job from Mclaren also. 21 laps so far from Jenson. They managed 79 at the last test.

If they can do 50 + laps today it will be a good sing for MCL [-o<

Funny that so far, Maldonado is the fastest guy with a 2014 or 2015 F1 car around the Barcelona circuit. He did a 1:24,871 on supersoft tyres during the test just after the 2014 GP. The pole time of 1:25,232 was done on medium tyres, i believe.
Dear FIA, if you read this, please pm me for a redesign of the Technical Regulations to avoid finger nose shapes for 2016! :-)

From Autosport:-Anderson has also spied the bodywork off the McLaren and fans on blast. "Lots of working going on around the car inside the garage and plenty of studious screen watching," he adds.

I expect 40-50 laps, no more. But its ok, specially if they dont have problems. It is also nice to see the car going "fast".

RB is having another problematic day, very few laps. I dont know what to think. :?

Can't just be Renault. Verstappen did over 30 laps so far in the Toro Rosso. Perhaps a structural cooling problem?

Suzie doing an impressive run, so far 20 laps around the edge of 1m32-33, only to dip into the 31 on the latest lap of that run. Low deg on that Williams.

They will blame Renault again, but I see Toro Rosso doing fine at the moment. Maybe it's their own fault.

RB's design being too radical? Too tight packaging perhaps, but then what about Mclaren. They have an even tighter rear end.

I agree. Toro Rosso is doing a fine job, perhaps RB is having AGAIN problems with its cooling system.

They are reporting some "minor" problems which seem to been solved.

By the way Ferrari and Mclaren are having a second lazy half of the morning. New problems in Mclaren?

Some politics again around Mercedes, they dont want to "overuse" Nico, what a joke, they clearly dont want to give more km than Lewis.

McLaren-Honda's day is over.

A faulty seal on the MGU-K has led to a terminal engine problem that, according to the team, requires a "full replacement of the power unit".

Button will not run again today and the team is unsure if it can stop the fault returning tomorrow, though says an updated part will be ready for Saturday.

A full story will be with you shortly.
