Typically, the better George does on a Saturday is the worse he does on a Sunday.

Couldn't have been farther than truth.

He’s never converted a pole into a win, and generally goes backwards on a Sunday, due to him outperforming the car on a Saturday. You clearly don’t watch much F1

This is not a demanding circuit. No real long radius corners or real slow corners. So long way to go.

I think if lewis has started p2 or p3, we wouldnt see a fight for a win.

Even from p5 probably, given that Max was actually close at one stage.

I think even George knows that tbh, but there's no taking away that he deserved his pole and the win as he was there when it counted.

I'm still waiting till next year to judge Lewis' quali capabilities though.

Congrats to Mercedes, I never expected they could be able to get their race pace reeled in vs Ferrari (and even RB) and they did a fantastic job after FP2 to get the race setup right. Russell was cool as cucumber and Hamilton was absolutely stunning once he got some free air.
