Highly cambered rounded tire for better cornering grip?

Does a highly cambered (negative camber) rounded thread tire like those in motorcycles can give more grip than a wide conventional car tire for the same rubber compound?

This is the working principle in the Mercedes F400 concept car.

Although FIA bans active suspension (for now maybe not in the future?)
If this rounded thread tire principle is true then is can be already used in F1 front tires by a large caster angle to incline the wheels as the steering is turned. The kingpin angle may be offset from the wheel center to reduce overall caster.

a) why would you use the same rubber compound?

b) do you think a narrow, slightly longer contact patch is likely to give more grip than a very wide, medium length one?

c) Do you really think show cars anything more than ways to get gullible fools to link to them?

d) if huge negative camber is such a good idea why didn't they tilt the inner wheels as well?

e) in 12 years since then where has this ground breaking technology got to?
