Timo Glock to extend contract with Toyota for 2009

By on

After showing rather poor form throughout the beginning of the 2008 season, Toyota F1 driver Timo Glock began improving with a fourth place finish at the Canadian GP, and most recently a surprising second place finish at the Hungarian GP. And it would seem that these impressive results have convinced the Japanese team to extend his contract for the 2009 season, keeping him alongside the Italian Jarno Trulli.

In a brief chat with our colleagues over at ´autosport´, Toyota team principal John Howett commented on the issue, "As we stand here today, we intend to keep both drivers. And I don't think that's ever been in any doubt to be honest.¨
