Fisichella guest of eSafety Challenge 2009

Today Giancarlo Fisichella was a guest of the eSafety Challenge 2009 event at the Vallelunga race track near Rome, an event co-founded by the FIA and hosted by ACI, promoting road safety. With the Roman driver, for the first time officially as a Ferrarista, some other personalities from the world of Formula 1 and Rally went onto the track, such as Heikki Kovalainen, Robert Kubica and Tom Kristensen, just to name a few.

At the end of a meeting with the other campaign’s protagonists Fisichella spoke to the Press about the important issue of road safety and drove some laps at the Autodromo 'Piero Taruffi' behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo Mito fitted with ESC, demonstrating the importance of this electronic control system as far as road safety is concerned.

"I’m honoured that I can contribute to promoting road safety, which is a really important issue for me, who risks a lot on the track, but tries to be as safe as possible when driving on normal roads.” Giancarlo added that he was “very happy to be officially present as a Ferrarista.”
