Ferrari F1 history at the Museo de las Ciencias in Valencia

The Valencia City of Arts and Sciences, in collaboration with the Galleria Ferrari and Ferrari Corse Clienti, celebrates today the official opening of the 1950-2010 Ferrari Siempre in Formula 1 exhibition, featuring the legendary Scuderia Ferrari single-seaters of the last 60 years. Ferrari is, in fact, the only team to have competed every season at this the highest level of motor sport.

The exhibition spans a selection of 13 single-seaters that have played a leading role in the Prancing Horse’s history and its technological evolution since 1950. They include the legendary likes of the 246 F1 and the F2008 raced by Kimi Räikkönen and Felipe Massa. All of the F1 cars on show come either from the Galleria Ferrari in Maranello or are on special loan from private owners. The exhibition also includes a replica podium on which fans can pose as champions, a simulator and a an extensive collection photographs of Scuderia drivers down through the years.

The Scuderia Ferrari recently celebrated competing in its 800th Formula 1 World Championship race at the Turkish Grand Prix. It now holds a huge array of records in the sport: Drivers’ titles (15,) Constructors’ titles (16), wins (211), podium finishes (632: wins aside, it has scored 223 seconds and 198 thirds), pole positions (203) and race fastest laps (221).

The Valencia exhibition, which coincides with the upcoming European Grand Prix, will be open to the public until June 28th at the Salón Arquerías in the Museo de las Ciencias Principe Felipe.
