Coulthard awarded with MBE

Former Red Bull Racing driver and current Red Bull ambassador David Coulthard has been awarded the MBE by the Queen in the her birthday honours list. While many people have been calling him 'sir' for a long time, now DC has been recognised by his country's monarch for services to motorsport.

Speaking this morning in Montreal, where's he's working as a summariser for British television, Coulthard said: “I'm both surprised and honoured to be recognised in this way. Obviously it's because of the support of my family and various people within motorsport and the platform that motorsport has given which has given me the opportunity to be recognised. So delighted and looking forward to going to Buckingham Palace to receive my award.”
