Nabholz announced as official supplier of Sauber
Nabholz, the world’s oldest sports brand, will become an Official Supplier to Sauber Motorsport as from 2011. Nabholz will supply the Swiss team with a full range of team and travel clothing and accessories (incl. travel bags). The Nabholz logo will appear on all items supplied by the brand and on the car itself (headrest).
Their shared characteristics of “Swissness”, pioneering spirit and precision make Nabholz and Sauber Motorsport an ideal partnership. The alliance allows the two companies to pool together their experience, determination and high standards of quality.
“For Nabholz this is an outstanding opportunity, as part of our brand building process, to become more international, open up new markets and move into new areas, especially in Asia,” explains Nabholz Sport AG Supervisory Board Member Christian Bättig. “We are proud of the trust shown in us by Peter Sauber and the team.”
Peter Sauber adds: “Nabholz is a Swiss brand with a great history. We are delighted to be able to offer Nabholz a platform through this partnership to showcase their brand to an international audience as part of a sport which embodies precision, quality and high performance like no other. For our team this is also an important relationship in light of the very short lead times that apply to team clothing in particular, where short pathways are extremely helpful. A partnership with a Swiss company has many benefits for us.”
Since 1821 sportswear pioneer Nabholz, the world’s oldest sports brand, has displayed an impressive ability to combine its “tracksuit pioneer” heritage with up-to-the-minute design. The “beercap” logo still used today was developed in 1948. Important milestones through the history of the Nabholz brand have included kitting out the Swiss national football team for the 1962 World Cup in Chile and supplying 11 nations for the 1968 summer Olympic Games in Mexico.
