MP4-21 breaks cover
The most awaited cars of the 2006 season broke cover this morning in Barcelona. Pedro de la Rosa rolled out the new McLaren Mercedes MP4-21, still featuring the pre-season orange livery, de la Rosa was given the task of running the new chassis for the first time.
The car retains the ‘Star Wars’ style wings either side of the airbox with a deep and curvaceous front wing. The team is hoping that this machine will go one better than its predecessor which won ten Grand Prix in 2005, finishing second to arch-rivals Renault.
