Kubica: 'The potential exists'
Following the extensive testing programme he conducted in recent weeks at Valencia, Barcelona and Jerez, the 21-year-old third driver of the BMW Sauber F1 Team, Robert Kubica, is convinced that the BMW Sauber F1 Team is on the right path.
Robert Kubica "The potential exists but theres still a lot of work waiting for us. This can be said regarding both me and the entire team. However, theres no doubt, we are moving in the right direction. Obviously, I still need time to understand how things work in Formula One."
"Clearly, the tyres play a vital role, therefore you have to learn how they work. The grooved Formula One tyres are extremely temperature-sensitive. In cooler conditions, for example, the driver has to opt for another way of doing his warm-up lap," explains the young gun who will drive the third BMW Sauber F1.06 on the Friday each Grand Prix weekend. "I still have to learn these details but I'm making progress with every test session completed."
This Wednesday, the BMW Sauber F1 Team, will continue its preparations for the season open in Bahrain, testing at Imolas "Autodrome Enzo e Dino Ferrari'.
