On Thursday Christijan Albers completed his final day of testing at Barcelona for the Midland F1 Racing Team. At Circuit de Catalunya Albers completed 79 laps for MF1 Racing and setting his fastest time at 1.17.142.

Albers commented about his day: "I'm glad the weather was better than we though it would be, so at least we could start with some running early in the morning already. Unfortunately we had some problems with the fuel rig, which lost us some time. We planned to cover a race distance in the afternoon but instead of that it became a long stint as we didn't have enough time left."

Albers also worked with Bridgestone through the tyre program. "I'm happy with the work we could do together with Bridgestone. All in all it was a useful week here in Barcelona and I can look back at it with a positive feeling."

Next week Albers will be back on track at Silverstone in preparations for the 2006 season.
