Pirelli reveals tyre choices for the British GP
F1 tyre manufacturer Pirelli revealed what choices teams made for this weekend's British GP. Top teams opted for different tyre allocations again for the high-speed circuit in Great Britain.Pirelli offered its hardest compounds for the demanding track with long, fast corners: soft, medium and hard compounds were on the offer.
Under this year's new rule teams had to choose one set from each compound. One set of softs has to available in Q3 and one set from the two harder compounds have to be available for the race. Furthermore, one set of hards or mediums has to be run in the race.
Ferrari ordered the most sets of the soft compound while Mercedes only ordered one set of hards in contrast to two sets of Red Bull and Ferrari.
Team mates often have different allocation, but this time it is only the Haas squad which has different choices between its drivers.
