Pit walk success
Formula One fans in the Middle East region took up a once in a lifetime opportunity to walk down the pit lane of the Gulf Air Bahrain Grand Prix 2006. Hundreds of hungry fans rushed to the Bahrain International Circuit to meet their favorite team and drivers. The event was open to three day ticket holders and attracted a large number of people. The pit walk was held for the first time in the history of the Bahrain Grand Prix and was deemed a success by all participants.
Bahrain hosts the season opener for the 2006 FIA Formula One Championship. The race, watched by over 400 million viewers, has generated a huge buzz in the country with events lined up all around the country.
