Following the season opener in Bahrain and the first comparative analysis, the Formula One teams are already busy preparing for the next event. The 'PETRONAS Malaysian Grand Prix', the second of 18 Formula One World Championship races, takes place next Sunday.

Once more the teams will be facing high temperatures during the race in Malaysia, additionally, humidity levels of up to 90 percent will make life difficult for everybody involved. Despite the extreme conditions in this tropical location, the 5.543 kilometer "Sepang International Circuit" is very popular among the teams, drivers and fans. The widest of all Formula One race tracks was designed by German architect Hermann Tilke and on its two long straights and narrow corners it offers countless possibilities to overtake.

The Malaysian Grand Prix is held for the eighth time and more than anyone else, the BMW Sauber F1 Team is looking forward to competing in the home of its main sponsor Petronas. Starting Tuesday, Nick Heidfeld, Jacques Villeneuve, BMW Motorsport Director Mario Theissen and Peter Sauber will be present in Kuala Lumpur to visit various promotional events. The modern Formula One race track is located 75 kilometers from the capital of Malaysia.
