Sato partners with Descente

Takuma Sato has announced a new personal partnership with Japanese athletic clothing brand Descente. The arrangement will involve Takuma being the public face of the brand for its forthcoming Autumn/Winter 2006 and Spring/Summer 2007 sportswear campaigns. These campaigns will concentrate on the brand's core product lines of professional athletic sportswear and training clothing.

Announcing the collaboration, Takuma Sato commented: "I am obviously so happy to be working with such a great brand as Descente.

"They have a great reputation for quality and high performance sports kit and that's exactly what I need for all my fitness training. I am looking forward to working with them on the new collections later this year"

Descente President, Kunio Tajiri commented: "We are so pleased at this partnership with Mr. Takuma Sato, one of the greatest Formula one driver in the world.

"We are supplying him with our high performance and smart products. We believe that these products will surely be helpful for his fitness training and make him do the great performance. We are really looking forward to working with him this year and hope he has a great season in the Formula One races."

The deal is initially a one-year contract with the option to extend further after the initial period.
