Race without rain

By on

Both of the last two Grand Prix took place in very sunny and extremely hot conditions. In Melbourne, however, autumn has already arrived. As a consequence, the BMW Sauber F1 Team is expecting lower temperatures and generally more pleasant race conditions.

Prior to the Formula One Grand Prix in Melbourne, all participating teams can look forward to comparatively low temperatures. The weather forecast is predicting up to 20 degrees Celsius and cloudy skies on Friday. The rain probability is, however, close to zero, so that the BMW Sauber F1 Team will be able to prepare for the rest of the race weekend without any problems.

The third free practice session and the qualifying sessions on Saturday are also likely to be held in pleasant weather conditions. The meteorologists expected high temperatures around 17 degrees Celsius. Furthermore, the outlook predicts more cloudy skies for all of the remaining weekend.

The weather obviously influences the team's strategy during a race more than anywhere else. Despite the fact that Australia has recently been experiencing autumnal weather, rain is not expected to influence the race. The forcast predicts 19 degrees Celsius and few clouds for the start of the race, at 14:00hrs local time on Sunday.
