Renault to announce engine plans

Renault are expected to announce their engine strategy for next year and beyond on Tuesday.There have been reports that the F1 team are considering abandoning their radical wide-V engine design which has proven to be problematic in realizing the full potential of the car.The current 111-degree configuration is said to be well down on power when compared to the likes of BMW, Ferrari and Mercedes. Despite this, Fenault finds themselves tied with Williams in the constructors championship.
