Trulli likely to stay at Renault

According to Renault Sport Flavio Briatore, Jarno Trulli - who is managed by one of Briatore's companies - will stay at Renault next year. Trulli's contract with the team is coming to an end but there has not been any great interest in him from any other teams and so any change is likely to be a step backwards. Trulli has had a management deal with Briatore since he was in karts but he has never really lived up to his potential and this year has been largely overshadowed by his Renault team mate Fernando Alonso. It should also be noted that aside from the name Jacques Villeneuve there have been no major names linked to Renault next year as the team is not expected to be fully competitive because it will have a new V10 engine.
