Zanardi to test for BMW
Former Formula One driver Alex Zanardi will test for the BMW Sauber F1 Team at the end of the season. Zanardi made his debut in F1 with the Jordan Team in 1991 during the Spanish Grand Prix. His last race in F1 was in Japan for the Williams F1 Team in 1999.
Zanardi joined the Mo Nunn Racing Team in 2001 and started driving in the Champ Car-series. Durin a race at the Lausitzring in Germany, the Italian lost both of his legs and nearly died from the loss of blood. Zanardi never gave up racing though and is an inspiration for many young drivers.
