Sainz at the wheel of the Renault F1
The Renault F1 Team demonstrations, always one of the highlights at a World Series by Renault meeting, will offer something extra special in Barcelona. The double F1 World Championship-winning car will be driven by two-time World Rally Champion and motor sport legend, Carlos Sainz!
The history-making Renault F1 R25 will take to the track for one last outing in Barcelona at the final round of the 2006 World Series by Renault. Carlos Sainz will doubtless send the local crowd wild when he gets behind the wheel: «I have driven many cars throughout my racing career but driving the reigning F1 World Champion will be a fantastic experience. I am really grateful to Renault for giving me such a great opportunity. Over the last few years, I've been interested in everything related to circuit racing and go-karts, and in particular, the World Series by Renault.»
The two-time World Rally Champion (1990 & 1992) will make three outings during the weekend: on Saturday, October 28, at 4.10pm and then on Sunday, October 29, at 9.55am and 3.20pm.
