Honda confirms date of Team Charity Open Day
The Honda Racing F1 Team will open its doors to the public on Sunday 15 July for its very first Team Charity Open Day. Guests will be able to tour the factory, watch pit stop demonstrations, listen to live music and enjoy a host of other entertainment, including special activities for children.
Race driver and British hero Jenson Button and Test & Reserve Driver Christian Klien will also be in attendance and there will be special guest appearances throughout the day.
All proceeds from the Charity Open Day will be donated to the Honda Racing F1 Team’s two charities: Helen & Douglas House* and Stepping Stones Pre-School**.
*Helen & Douglas House based in Oxford provides respite and end of life care for children and young adults with life-shortening conditions, as well as support and friendship for their families. The charity aims to add “life to years” through respite care in attractive and fun surroundings, treatment of distressing symptoms, end of life care, family support and education. It costs just under £4 million per annum to run Helen & Douglas House, the vast majority of which comes from voluntary sources. www.helenanddouglas.org.uk
**Stepping Stones Pre-School is a non-profit making charity which has an outstanding reputation for providing educational pre-school and playgroup childcare in Brackley since 1969. By 2007, Stepping Stones aims to be relocated to a new purpose-built, friendly and caring environment, from where it will offer extended childcare and education throughout the day to children aged from two and a half to eleven from Brackley and the surrounding area. www.steppingstonespreschool.org.uk
