There is a three-week gap between the start of the seasn in Australia and the second Grand Prix of the year in Malaysia. However, the BMW Sauber F1 Team will arrive in Sepang one week prior to the second race of the season.

"We arrive in Malaysia one week before the Grand Prix because we will attend several events there," says Mario Theissen, explaining the early arrival of the BMW Sauber F1 Team for the second race of the 2007 season.

Before the team arrives at the 'Sepang International Circuit' however, the BMW Motorsport Director gives his crew an important task to complete: "For us, the next three weeks will be all about solving the problem of reliability," Theissen admits.

In Malaysia, the BMW Sauber F1 Team will visit the headquarters of the premium partner Petronas. Therefore, Theissen considers the race in Sepang something of a home GP. "In Malaysia, our team will obviously be at the centre of attention," the German is convinced. The great attention that the BMW Sauber F1 Team generally enjoys in Malaysia has been increased by the good start to its season. With five World Championship points, the team travels to South-East Asia in third place of the Constructors' Championship.
