Sato on testing duties at Malaysia
Following an encouraging start to the 2007 Formula One season at Albert Park Circuit, Melbourne, the Super Aguri Formula One Team has joined the F1 test at the Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia today.
Both Takuma Sato and Anthony Davidson travelled directly to Malaysia following the Australian Grand Prix to train and acclimatise to the hot and humid conditions that they will endure during this week’s test and the immediate second round of the 2007 Formula One World Championship on 8th April.
This is the first extremely ‘hot’ test of the year and the SAF1 Team planned programme covers a wide range of aerodynamic, engine and tyre evaluations. Takuma Sato was behind the wheel of the SA07-02 today and completed a total of 71 laps covering a number of aero and set-up tests. Takuma will continue to obtain information for the ‘soft versus hard’ Bridgestone Potenza tyre options tomorrow for the forthcoming Malaysian Grand Prix.
