Development work on the F1.07 continues
Three races of the 2007 Formula One World Championship have passed and the BMW Sauber F1 Team now has time until mid-May to prepare for the next race, the Spanish Grand Prix. Willy Rampf, Technical Director of the team, describes the scheduled work for the forthcoming weeks.
Following the races in Melbourne, Kuala Lumpur and Manama, the first overseas block of the Formula One season is over. On 13th May, the pinnacle of racing will return to Europe. Until then, however, there is no time to rest for the BMW Sauber F1 Team: Among other things, the team from Munich and Hinwil will conduct test drives at the "Circuit de Catalunya" from 30th April to 2nd May.
Additionally, the intensive development work on the BMW Sauber F1.07 will continue, as Rampf confirms "Obviously we are trying to make the car even faster," says the German. "The next test in Barcelona is scheduled to prepare for the race on that track. We will have several new components on the car in order to take off a few extra tenths of a second per lap. Taking everything into consideration, I believe we can be satisfied with what we have at our disposal now."
