Barrichello kicks-off Barcelona test for Honda
The Honda Racing F1 Team returned to the test track today at the Circuit de Catalunya just outside Barcelona. With the Spanish Grand Prix less than two weeks away, all eleven Formula One teams are in attendance this week for the planned three-day test.
The team will run one car this week with Rubens Barrichello and Jenson Button sharing the driving responsibilities.
Rubens began the test programme this morning and spent his early runs acclimatising to the track conditions. He then worked on finding a good balance on the car before completing an aero evaluation over long runs.
After a late lunch, Rubens completed two set-up runs followed by a long run tyre evaluation with the options for the Spanish Grand Prix. He finished the day with two short aero runs.
Rubens completed 132 laps today and will continue his running tomorrow morning.
