Optimistic for the race - Fisico
The Italian ING Renault F1 Team driver, Giancarlo Fisichella, is in a low-key P10 on the grid – but he’ll be one to watch in the US Grand Prix at Indianapolis. Team mate Heikki Kovalainen will start from 6th position.
"There some ups and downs, I think I can say. Ultimately, we have to be pleased to see Heikki in P6, and to have both cars in the top ten. OK, so I am only P10, but I am optimistic for the race."
The start will be crucial. Will you be trying to gain some positions?"Yes, I want to pass 1 or 2 cars, but well, 3 or 4 would be pretty good too! I will do my best."
What were track conditions like this afternoon?"It’s a tricky circuit, there’s not much grip, especially when it’s hot like today. It’s very slippery, very inconsistent, so it’s going to be an interesting race."
