Coulthard's RB3 raises €210,050 for Wings For Life
The hammer has fallen and the last bid is in... the car which David Coulthard drove at last year’s Silverstone Grand Prix now has a new owner. On Sunday night, the RB3 in the famous Faces For Charity livery was sold on the internet auction site eBay for €210,050.
The proceeds will go to the Wings For Life foundation, an organisation set up to fund research into spinal injuries. The new owner says, as their bid was a charitable donation they wants to stay anonymous.
The auction is still running for other lots including Cyril Despres’ Dakar winning KTM motorbike, the helmets of MotoGP rider Dani Pedrosa and 2008 ski jumping World Cup winner Thomas Morgenstern and – if you and ten friends fancy a kick about - a friendly game against FC Red Bull Salzburg.
