Jean-Marie Balestre passes away aged 86
Former FIA President Jean-Marie Balestre has passed away aged 86. Balestre was a colourful and sometimes controversial figure in the motor sport world. He was elected FIA President in 1986 and he remained in the role until Max Mosley took over in 1993.
