Toro Rosso's French driver joins test action at France

Today it was time for Formula 1's only French driver to drive in France, as Sébastien Bourdais took over from Sebastian Vettel at the wheel of the STR3. Testing continued at the short version of the Ricard circuit to approximate to Monaco conditions and Sébastien spent the morning acclimatising to the new car as well as running a tyre comparison between the two types that Bridgestone will provide in Monaco and Montreal.

Later in the morning, French Séb began a race simulation which was successfully completed in the afternoon. Also on the day's agenda, some of usual tasks with any new car - systems checking and calibration.

Tomorrow, the action stays at Paul Ricard but switches to another version of the circuit to replicate some aspects of the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal. This will be the first time both our drivers try STR3 in low downforce configuration as Vettel runs in the morning and Bourdais in the afternoon.
