Rod Nelson's position at Williams under fire
According to the Swiss 'Motorsport Aktuell', the job of Rod Nelson at Williams is on the line after some poor results. Nelson switched from Renault to Williams where he is Chief Operations Engineer. During the French GP weekend, Nelson had the full responsibility for the operation of the race team, as Sam Michael was absent, but the two drivers only finished 15th and 16th.
As Frank Williams and Patrick Head seem unsatisfied with the performance of Nelson, he might be the first to be fired after the poor results of the team in the first part of the season.
At the moment, Williams is 6th in the constructors' championship with only 15 points.
