FIA to drop ban on tyre warming blankets?
It is believed that the tyre warming blankets ban for 2009 will be put on hold during today's World Motor Sport Council meeting in the FIA headquarters in Paris. The ban was criticised by many drivers as in 2009 the sport will also see the return of slicks. According to the drivers, the ban of the tyre warmers would be a huge step backwards for safety and it seems that the FIA now agrees with them.
