FIA hands out penalty to Fisichella

The race stewards at Hockenheim have handed out a time penalty to Giancarlo Fisichella as he entered the pitlane under safety car procedure and before the "lapped cars may not overtake" signal was given. He was imposed a 25 second penalty in the final race classification.

The problem was really that upon rejoining the track, the driver was not allowed to unlap himself.

Although the news is unlikely to be much of interest to Giancarlo Fisichella, the 25 second penalty will actually relegate him from 14th position to 16th, only ahead of Button.
