What are we expecting in terms of the pecking order here? I have lost any grasp of the strong points of the different cars. Ferrari suddenly seems great in all corner types and so does McLaren and to a lesser extent Red Bull. Is this likely to be a PU-dependent race. If so, Is the high altitude likely to negatively impact Ferrari more than the competition due to their smaller turbo?

Personally I'm guessing performance will be very close, with the cars probably being so close that car performance becomes secondary to driver skill. Still I'd imagine the pecking order being:

1. Ferrari (should be amazing in turns 4-6 and 12-16, probably slightly worse elsewhere)
2. McLaren
3. Red Bull

I reckon Norris or Verstappen sticks it on pole again, Ferraris around 2-5 with Piastri. Perez either P8 or out in Q1. If it ends up really warm like in COTA, Ferrari should be the favourites as long as their engine (turbo) doesn't struggle with overheating in the thin air and they don't get stuck behind someone.

I think they are quite similar, you can not just separate strong and weak points.
The only thing obvious is, that the 90° corners will make RedBull suffer on understeer again. So my bet would be again on a close fight between McLaren and Ferrari.

Are we expecting this to be a race that is determined by PU supplier?
No, I think everyone learned how to deal with the height. The last years there was no obvious deficit, only what you mention with Ferrari, but that was solved.

McLaren/Ferrari>Red Bull>>Mercedes pretty much, unless McLaren does a floor downgrade in Mexico

Haas looking great lately, should be able to extend P6 lead in WCC
And they call it a stall. A STALL!

Yes, you can add them to the list. So points are all set =D>

Now, what happens if Perez?
Who snatches the points of the top 10 if anyone in our top 10 list crashes? RB or Willi? Colapinto or Lawson?

He's in for a good F1.5 showing perhaps but Haas looks stronger.

not sure the low-grip track suits Ferrari particularly well - but I honestly didn't expect COTA to do either. Difficult to say who may have an advantage.

Isn't low grip good? Low grip = a lot of sliding = more tyre overheating, which is something Ferrari is less prone to than the competition. Ferrari is also just good under traction, and more sliding means more time under traction.

One of the worst tracks to start on pole.

If it's hot i can see Ferrari having the pace advantage on sunday.

I was going to say coming into this thread, I'm expecting him announcing his retirement. Time is up.
