What are we expecting in terms of the pecking order here? I have lost any grasp of the strong points of the different cars. Ferrari suddenly seems great in all corner types and so does McLaren and to a lesser extent Red Bull. Is this likely to be a PU-dependent race. If so, Is the high altitude likely to negatively impact Ferrari more than the competition due to their smaller turbo?

Personally I'm guessing performance will be very close, with the cars probably being so close that car performance becomes secondary to driver skill. Still I'd imagine the pecking order being:

1. Ferrari (should be amazing in turns 4-6 and 12-16, probably slightly worse elsewhere)
2. McLaren
3. Red Bull

I reckon Norris or Verstappen sticks it on pole again, Ferraris around 2-5 with Piastri. Perez either P8 or out in Q1. If it ends up really warm like in COTA, Ferrari should be the favourites as long as their engine (turbo) doesn't struggle with overheating in the thin air and they don't get stuck behind someone.

I think they are quite similar, you can not just separate strong and weak points.
The only thing obvious is, that the 90° corners will make RedBull suffer on understeer again. So my bet would be again on a close fight between McLaren and Ferrari.

No, I think everyone learned how to deal with the height. The last years there was no obvious deficit, only what you mention with Ferrari, but that was solved.

Isn't low grip good? Low grip = a lot of sliding = more tyre overheating, which is something Ferrari is less prone to than the competition. Ferrari is also just good under traction, and more sliding means more time under traction.

Yep. Should be one big name victim coming out of the T1/2/3 chaos on lap 1

Sector1 has two big straights and a chicane.
And everyone is going to run high wing levels. Will be a good testing ground for 'aero-efficiency'.

Big kerbs and slow speed sharp turns relegates Redbull to 4th fastest. Mercedes is unpredictable, even they don't know where they are, after their newest updates (Russel ran a good race in COTA using 'older' parts, didn't he?).

That leaves it to be a clear dogfight between McLaren and Ferrari, both of whom, like slow turns and straights, and are good with lower gear traction.
