Let us not lie here. Hamilton didn't back out. He was behind & he tried to push Max out & since Max was ahead he was the one who had to go off track. But he never backed & tried to push Max off.Restomaniac wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 16:55I think you need to see it. Lap 1 Hamilton is in exactly the same situation and backed out. Verstappen had NO intention of doing so.nzjrs wrote: ↑12 Sep 2021, 16:51Yeah, missed the whole race actually. Was planning on catching it on replay but a Google notification spoiled the surprise.
But in any case, aren't incidents evaluated in isolation and not against any larger historical narrative? I think FIA has a bias towards consequence based judgements, but because this came out neutral I guess they don't intervene further.
Here, Hamilton never gave Max a car's width when they were alongside when he was coming from his pitstop. He pushed Max into the sausage kerb & didn't leave any width when Max was alongside. It is a pattern which is going on since Silverstone. Hamilton will resort to any dirty act much like Abu Dhabhi 2016 !
