Could you explain how we can see the engine mode on that telemetry? What do the lines represent, engine revs?
Rigth, but i ask myself why didnt redbul do it also previous faster race....mstar wrote: ↑11 Dec 2021, 21:27Modes are not just done using PU its other aspects too. Honda and RB pulled a blinder, they negated Mercs one advantage -straight line speed.
I just looked at his telemetry from FP2 and it seems that he was slower in Q3 at the end of the first straight. I think that is why he assumed they are not using high engine modeswest52keep64 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2021, 21:36Could you explain how we can see the engine mode on that telemetry? That straight line speed. Usually it is the other way around. Where is the rocket engine?MtthsMlw wrote: ↑11 Dec 2021, 22:02Mini sector comparison between Ver and Ham

Looks like I'm not the only one who thought it was intentional!
As you can't change engine modes from quality to race. There is other aspects you can play with to get maximum power all race. This is what the engine manufacturers have been playing with. On radio you hear them talk about modes and strats, to change. This is impacting power, diffs etc. Whats made Honda so good is they can run their engine and components on near max all race. This is where I think merc has had to catch up too and I think they have got there now.
All comes down to how the middle stint tyre deg vs pace plans out.BlueCheetah66 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2021, 23:05If Max is planning on doing a one-stop with the soft, then Perez will be very key for them. He has to get past Norris. If he can do that, it will stop Hamilton from going too much longer than they go (similar to in COTA). Even better if he can get ahead of Hamilton at the start.
Thats just the power of Honda! The W12 is the better car, but the Honda PU is the better PU. Strong and relaiable.ArcticWolfie wrote: ↑11 Dec 2021, 22:53MtthsMlw wrote: ↑11 Dec 2021, 22:02Mini sector comparison between Ver and Ham

Seen MV's lap 4 times already, still shocked by the speed. Hamilton looks more stable in S3, but **** Verstappen pulled out a mighty one there.
In a few hours, motor racing history will be made: either a man will win the F1 title for a record 8th time or another man will join the list of champions and become the 34th world champion.siskue2005 wrote: ↑11 Dec 2021, 23:40I dont think i can sleep tonight, Imagine what driver are going through...Nico was telling pre race that in 2016 he just slept 2 to 3 hours the whole weekend and he couldn't eat or drink anything
