And that is the human aspect of the sport. If the ref doesnt see an error in the field, a rule has been broken, however no penalty is applied.
Replaces everything by AI/robots then with 1000+ cameras, pretty sure you will not like the result.

Any way, no way the FIA is going to take away the title from Max. Mercedes should just accept it. Like Redbull had to accept it many times this season.

If you want to have every race result contested from now on. Pleas applaud Mercedes for the protest. Every race will be settled in court then.
This is strange, you seem to accept that there was a error, but you also think, sssh ignore it, keep Max as champion cause I think he is the best.

I’m sorry it doesn’t work that way.
I am not a Verstappen nor a Hamilton fan. The L1 incident was an error for me, the advantage Hamilton gained there was crazy, only having a VSC out was an error for me. Toto trying to manipulate on the radio asking to not have have a sc is an error for me. Not letting the backmarkers overtake earlier during sc was an error for me. Only doing it partially later was an error for me. Doing it in the lap where the sc came in was an error for me.

So compounding all of that, they should have just let the backmarkers go 1 lap earlier, and then the result would have been the same, and this whole drama would not have existed.
They don't let cars unlap themselves until the track is clear, it couldn't have been done any sooner than it was. L1, Verstappen divebombed Hamilton and forced him off track.

Why do Max fans still mention Silverstone??

Just look at how many times Lewis avoided collisions with Verstapen! Max could have done exactly the same thing there and "live to fight another day"!

But luck and a helping hand by Masi gave him the title today! Silverstone should have been a mistake that cost him the title...

Apparently none of the Mercedes powered teams have congratulated MV at this time. All non-Mercedes powered teams have.

I like Max, but he won at least 2 Grand Prix this year, won due to inept FIA race management. Of course he deserves to win a championship, just not this one. I hope it goes to court and the whole championship is backwards litigated! It’s been a farce for years and hopefully this is the end of it! Lewis’ 2008 championship used to be the hollowest win, but this takes the cake!!

Look at the laps, the debris was cleared pretty quickly, could have been done 1 lap earlier
Maybe they could have but they said they weren’t letting them unlap until they realised that would give Hamilton a chance to win. It was a s**tshow
That is a heavy assumption you are making. You don’t know the reasoning of Massi. It has been a FIA/Steward s**tshow the entire season, in a normal season Max would have clinched the title 3 races back. Be glad it went to the wire.
Not sure how you come to such a conclusion, Max was let off Brazil, brake testing. If you are raising Silverstone, Lewis was punished for that.
I’m sorry, your reasoning seems suspect especially when you disregard FIA breaking its own rules.

So if they applied the rule 2 laps earlier all was fine and the result was the same?
Yes. If the rules were applied correctly then that’s just bad luck for Hamilton but as it was the rules were not applied properly in order to manufacture a last lap shootout that shouldn’t have happened rather than following the rules and having an anticlimactic but ultimately correct finish under the safety car.
I think the back markers can only unlap themselves when the track is clear, so they couldn't apply the rule 2 laps earlier. remember the back markers who unlap, then go very fast to try catch the pack. this can't happen when marshals and diggers are on track.
Actually the rulebook doesn’t mention “when the track is clear” !! It says when it is deemed safe by the clerk. So if there is the possibility to unlap in a safe manner they could have potentially done this earlier.

How can he link to something that hasn’t happened. If he could link to it it’d no longer be true.

I believe it is a good assumption as RB exploded when they said they couldn’t unlap. I don’t know how you think this is like anything else that has ever happened in F1.
Ofcourse the exploded, cause it was safe to unlap… not so difficult it seems.

I could be wrong, and I would love to get corrected. But I believe if there's anyone who wouldn't lose sleep over the way it was won, it's him.

Delete the Spa 'race' too and he isnt
Delete Silverstone and he is. Looking at the whole year, we got the correct world champ.

I do agree to be fair, even as a lewis fan its impossible to ignore how outstandin max has been all year. But he didnt deserve the victory today at all.
Lewis had pitted for tyres in 2007 China, he’d be WDC
If he engine hadn’t blown in 2016 he’d be world champion in 2016

Why do we need to erase a race for a incident that he got punished for to justify fia rigging the last race

Redbull won on strategy and a bit of luck. It is not like they were cheering like crazy after putting their competitor in the hospital…

On the radio, Verstappen was not pleased about lapped cars not being permitted to overtake too, if you recall his message: "Why am I not surprised?"

Like all motorsport racing fans got really disappointed today, it seems that the sports part was sacrificed for the show and I really dont see how this win cannot have a sour taste on Max's mouth..

At least we'll have a good netflix finale and its maybe now the correct way to follow F1 ... as vulgar reality show

Thanks Liberty =D>
Didn't Max say he's not in the next netflix series as he didn't like how the show made him look?
He doesn’t need Netflix cameras for that….
