These raw emotions about putting a question mark over a championship, would die down in time either because there are going to be fresh wounds or that there are other exciting things to indulge in. There have been upteen instances where a championship ended different to how it was imagined or liked in F1 and in other sports, but none of those championships are considered any lesser. Only for lesser fans that can't accept a racing situation, Masi's inclusion/exclusion would be a matter of interest.
Some people still bring up the Prost vs Senna incident in Japan (even if Senna wouldn't have won that championship anyway) as a case of the championship being stolen from Senna.
I can see the 2021 championship going on as such, especially since there is so much more information of what went on behind the scenes available to the public. Which is sad IMO, because Max was just as much a deserving champion as Lewis would have been.
