I would LOVE to see Lando and the 2 Charles on the podium, with no particular order. Or Lando, on of the Charles and Pierre.
That would be a nice podium. No maxes, no lewises, no no no no...
It's all 4 wheels off the track (beyond the white lines)

Ferrari have no planned upgrades for this first race. They did 'show their hand' fully at the launch and test.
Red Bull showed their hand at Test 1 with their first upcoming upgrade at test 2. No upgrades for race 1.
Mercedes: didn't show their hand in test 1, showed it in test 2, and maybe have some of their hand left in race 1.
called it
AeroDynamic wrote: ↑09 Mar 2022, 10:43Now, am I Surprised Mercedes haven’t shown their hand like some teams? No.zibby43 wrote: ↑09 Mar 2022, 05:12https://twitter.com/sportmphmark/status ... 42994?s=21
Something from a source I trust about the innovation inbound on the W13.
But I think expectations should be tempered. If the downwash bodywork looks more mean and aggressive, that would be a great reveal. If the first iteration was some sort of red herring to throw the others off and chase something meaningless.. that would be epic.
AeroDynamic wrote: ↑09 Mar 2022, 15:28based on What Ferrari said, probably Ferrari.
By showing their hand, I'm basing that on the idea that other teams have shown more up-to-date and recent iterations of their cars along the development timeline. And if it turns out Mercedes have shown us a very old iteration dating much further back, then that for me is a team not showing their hand yet. Naturally all teams will be bringing a large amount of development in the coming months from development that is ongoing as we speak.
Which assumes that Max didn't also have engine power to spare on his quick runs. These people do like to draw interesting conclusions from small amounts of data and even less application of thought.tsam727 wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 10:35https://www.auto-motor-und-sport.de/for ... gezeichen/
Quite a few believe that Mercedes has veiled its true performance during the test drives. A team calculates that Mercedes has a second up its sleeve in terms of engine power alone. This is said to have been determined using the GPS data in comparison with Williams. The racing team from Grove drives with a Mercedes engine and is said to have turned it up to full speed in between. If that's true, George Russell would have driven at Verstappen level in the tests.
Got to learn from the best hasnt he
Wow, if ever there was a case of not following the spirit of the rules, that document from Red Bull is a great example.AeroDynamic wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 12:50juxtaposition of the effort gone into this by the teams.

Max has 7 penalty points. a few more and he's having a race ban this season. (and that was during a season where the FIA gave him a 'let em crash' freedom pass)
Where did you get those documents? Are they available in entirety for public consumption?AeroDynamic wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 12:50juxtaposition of the effort gone into this by the teams.

Wonder why Rebull bothered to fill it in, basically they are saying they ran the changes in preseason testing.Just_a_fan wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 12:55Wow, if ever there was a case of not following the spirit of the rules, that document from Red Bull is a great example.AeroDynamic wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 12:50juxtaposition of the effort gone into this by the teams.

Interesting that Mercedes say the front wing gives 25% of the downforce. That suggests that the floor doesn't give the high % of total downforce that some commentators have been suggesting.

If they're going to "let them race" and that includes "hard racing" then that's what he'll need to do. No point being fair if your opponents get away with doing otherwise.
Or Hamilton knows he hasn't gt the best car anymore, like in 2011:AeroDynamic wrote: ↑18 Mar 2022, 12:56Max has 7 penalty points. a few more and he's having a race ban this season. (and that was during a season where the FIA gave him a 'let em crash' freedom pass)
greats don't need that. lol
I think Hamilton has learned from the sport and FIA that times have changed and he needs to change with the times to be on a level playing field with the wannabe Senna
I drive aggressively because my car is not fast enough at times and I have to push and be aggressive.”
