EDIT: actually it's safer that the rear end breaks away easier from the rest as it helps dissapate energy away from the driver. All for it then

I think they are designed to separate nowadays, after Grosjeans shunt.InsaneX_Badger wrote: ↑26 Mar 2022, 20:01Wonder is there needs to be some structural things in place to prevent the rear of the car separating like that. Difficult after an accident like that but it could be dangerous to a unaware Marshall.
No. A reserve has to make it to quali or fp3 iirc at the latest. Certainly won't be allowed to race unless they make it into quali.
Only a free practice then you can request permision to race.
Yup, just heard about they made a change so that the rear separates under lower loads to help protect the driver and keep the impact energy away from them.nokivasara wrote: ↑26 Mar 2022, 20:04I think they are designed to separate nowadays, after Grosjeans shunt.InsaneX_Badger wrote: ↑26 Mar 2022, 20:01Wonder is there needs to be some structural things in place to prevent the rear of the car separating like that.
