Bahrain of corse. Merc and RBR both had to do stuff around radiators thermal isolation, or fuel cooling, to make sure that fuel wouldn’t get too hot and cause issues in the fuel lines. Ferrari knew that was a challenge for them and rejected the change.
Now Ferrari probably liked to work on reliability and everyone got what they wanted.
Let's assume for a second that, it was a reason for engine failures, how many failures did Redbull suffer since then due to fuel pump issue? None. So how is this new regulatory change going to help RBR when they didn't have that problem for 8 races?
You should ask them, they were the ones asking for that rule change after Barcelona.
You claimed it and I am asking you. The record simply proves, even without this new change, Redbull was unaffected. May be with this change, it might help in terms of performance, to the Honda engines in hotter races. Not just Honda, but also Mercedes who also were in favor of this rule change. This change was supposed to have been introduced after consulting with all teams, which include Renault too and only one team that vetoed the decision, which was Ferrari.
