Oooohwwf, Mercedes had To long run on the white, started to rain, and Lewis almost lost it up the radillion. Heavy snap. Caught it quickly though. Spectacular.
If anyone finds the clip of that, I'd appreciate seeing it! Was a brilliant save

Additionally, Perez @ 344kph . I will await confirmation from Dialtone but given those figures and their wing level, it is obvious that Ferrari were running heavily detuned on the engine
those figures are consistent with what we have seen throughout the season the honda powered car are fast on the straight take for instance france Rbr was consistently quicker than ferrari by 10 km/h,i mean real is anyone surprised by straightline speed of redbull.its not the shallow rearwing that's making them fast like Horner have been telling the media throughout the season.

Had another look at the regulations, in particular the bit about ...

[...]
thanks for your explanation, makes sense to me. But as announced in a later document, Leclerc also got a new CE, so that +20 for him, as far as I can see (+10 for the new ES and +5 for each of the other two elements), also moving him to the back of the grid
[removed]

edit: Journos get all the docs apparently

So it's just more elements (which makes sense) and they just did not bother publishing a bunch of the stuff, including one penalty doc for Charles.

Where’s dialtone?

Missing his analysis and race runs.

Anyone have any race run data?

Zoom in to see the numbers. Each square is a lap. Barely any data
Did Lec not run a fresh set of yellows in FP2 at all, is that possible? I thought you could not re use sets from previous FP?

They have to return two sets of tyres after every practice sessions, so those can't be re-used, but Leclerc used three different sets in FP1. This is the one he didn't return.

Yep, Sieper check 30.5 h) of the sporting regs https://www.fia.com/sites/default/files ... -04-29.pdf for the rules about tyre use and which they have to give back etc ... nothing is stopping them from running all the tyres apart from one set of Q3 tyres in FP1 and then only using scrubbed ones, theoretically they could just not run at all throughout the weekend and save up all the tyres apart from the ones they have to give back from what i can tell ...

So if TD39 were to affect the cars, wouldn't that be most visible trough S2, mainly turn 5-6-7 where the Ferrari is particularly slow thus far?

Breach of ISC
12.2.1 i) "Failure to follow the instructions of the relevant officials for the safe and orderly conduct of the Event."
and this:
Image

I don't see how? It was after T1 and before the line, only thing i can see is that it wasn't done "safely" as he did the start right next to another car?

(Maybe someone has a mirror as that is geolocked)

Be interesting to see the stewards reasoning for that one.

Still many unknowns despite Verstappen being quick on one lap. On the few race laps they did before it started to rain, Leclerc had some massive race pace in all sectors compared to Verstappen. Of course on soft tyres versus medium which might help in these conditions, but still. Stroll being as high up as he is also makes you want to wait for tomorrow to try sort out the true pecking order.
