youre not seriously using that clip as a measurement for fia standards ...... thats not a timed exercisedialtone wrote: ↑03 Mar 2023, 21:34you do know he needs to be out of the car in 10 seconds. Setting aside that he's not even unbuckling his harness, he starts leaving the car at 8s into the video and is out of the car at 32s. I'm not a math major but that looks longer than 10s.
I am not so sure about that. That list is pretty well correlated with the time in the wind tunnel and CFD the teams were allowed.
That is an interesting observation. Impressive I have to say.
That made me think too. You may well be onto something with that. Nice one
Interesting indeed.
It’s clear he’s not in great shape, however I’m sure he could get out faster than that if he really needed to. He just looks like someone that’s trying not to exacerbate his injury.dialtone wrote: ↑03 Mar 2023, 21:34you do know he needs to be out of the car in 10 seconds. So the one time he really needs to, he'll exacerbate the injury?Mogster wrote: ↑03 Mar 2023, 23:40It’s clear he’s not in great shape, however I’m sure he could get out faster than that if he really needed to. He just looks like someone that’s trying not to exacerbate his injury.
Yeah, being unable to grab the bar and hoist yourself up is not the same as not doing it because your hands are sore.cplchanb wrote: ↑03 Mar 2023, 23:04youre not seriously using that clip as a measurement for fia standards ...... thats not a timed exercise
I don't think the sentiment/concern comes from a place of "Lance is evil, etc etc".Big Tea wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 00:12Yeah, being unable to grab the bar and hoist yourself up is not the same as not doing it because your hands are sore.
If his A$$ was on fire I bet he would be out in less than the 7 seconds.
But there are those on here you will never convince He is not the antichrist and eats babies
itll be life over limb at that pointAR3-GP wrote: ↑03 Mar 2023, 23:58So the one time he really needs to, he'll exacerbate the injury?
respectfully disagree...had it been max with the broken wrists his rabid fans would be calling him a hero and comparing him to lauda 76.... its simply the fact that lance just got another convenient excuse to be hated on because of his "family business"AR3-GP wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 01:30I don't think the sentiment/concern comes from a place of "Lance is evil, etc etc".Big Tea wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 00:12Yeah, being unable to grab the bar and hoist yourself up is not the same as not doing it because your hands are sore.

I think it comes from a place of worry but at the end of the day, it's Lance's decision to make so he's not exactly going to be taking advice from anyone on here anyway. That doesn't mean we cannot discuss that it's a strange decision, considering comparisons to similar decisions made in other forms of motorsport, and sport in general which turned out to have negative longer term consequences.
Have you heard of Marc Marquez? How much of a hero does he look like now? Anyway, as I said before, it's up to Lance and his cohort, not us. That doesn't mean we can't express concern.cplchanb wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 03:37respectfully disagree...had it been max with the broken wrists his rabid fans would be calling him a hero and comparing him to lauda 76.... its simply the fact that lance just got another convenient excuse to be hated on because of his "family business"AR3-GP wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 01:30I don't think the sentiment/concern comes from a place of "Lance is evil, etc etc".Big Tea wrote: ↑04 Mar 2023, 00:12
