if the AM upgrades are as good at it seem they can be, it will be a very very interesting endo of season for the constructors championship battle between AM and Mclaren

Especially with the Mercedes updates elevating their performance. I think it's a nice message to remember to not get complacent, we can easily by 4th fastest team by the start of next season.

No doubt it will be, Aston may even climb back ahead of Mclaren in the championship and the pecking order in Mexico but dont forget Aston had another go setting their car up which the others didn’t. I think if Mclaren, Mercedes and Ferrari had a second chance at setting their car up they would have certainly made changes.

Or 5th…..even by the end of the season.
Mclaren stopped development after Singapore? Red Bull after Hungary. When did Ferrari stop?
Merc and Aston have continued their development in their fight for P2

Thanks

So out if the top 5 Red Rull stopped development first, followed by McLaren, then Ferrari, Mercedes and if you believe everything Aston Martin say they’ll be developing their car till the end of the season😂

If they are maintaining the same chassis next year then yes they can do this. Aston Martin are a brand in crisis so they need the positive marketing. Well, to be accurate they can do it even if they don't use the same chassis, but that seems like money down the drain.

It'll be interesting to look once more at the Merc update vs Mclaren in the next race, to see just how much faster it really is, given that issues in Parce Ferme have obfuscated a little the performance review of the car.

Yes they did, didnt they!
They reverted back to the old spec for the race.
So basically Mclaren and Red Bull ceased development at the same time which is encouraging.

As always though it’s going to be difficult to fully evaluate the competitiveness.
More than likely Mclaren will struggle even more in Mexico than they did in COTA and speaking of COTA a certain Mr Hamilton is a bit of a specialist there isn’t he. Both could make us believe Merc is the stronger package where on average Mclaren still might be. The wonders of F1👍🏻

Norris discussing the tyre wear. Aside from single lap pace, it'll be interesting to see what Mercedes tyre wear is like at the next few races, given that any extra downforce would certainly have helped this cause at Austin.

It'll be an interesting test of the mechanical capabilities of the car, for sure, since these will come a little more to the fore in the high altitude. And it's probably easier to list the turns we won't be challenged on, than the ones we will.

It was a minor change to the floor edge wing, not an entire new floor

You can't see it in the picture, but there's an Aldi just over the road that sells them.
