Nice. Yuki made a desperate grab for langauge barrier excuse after being in Europe for more than ten years.
Yeah, goodbye. Yuki still struggles enormously with his English. It is hard to understand him every interview. He has no vocabulary. None. It is always so easy for the native speakers to sweep it under the rug.
Understand a second language, especially offensive words in that language is much, much easier than speaking one fluently.

Only a naive person would believe Yuki didn't get the memo after being in Europe and and western social media for so long. I don't blame him for his desperate excuse though.

Just smh on how thin skinned and snowflake our society has become. We now have to censor words like death, rape, drugs, kill as if we're saying the n word. Pretty soon we'll have to apologize for pubkically mentioning that someone got punched in the face . Smh at a society that has lost all critical thinking skills

Pirelli suggests using two sets of hard and a set of medium tires is the optimal race strategy. But a lot of teams only kept a single set of hard tires. I find this strange, does Pirelli not understand his own tires or did some teams get it wrong?

Huh?!

In 2017 Yuki drove in the Japanese Formula 4.
In 2018 Yuki drove also in the Japanese Formula 4.
In 2019 Yuki moved to Zwitserland/Europe so he could drive in the Formula 3 and Euroformula Open.

This isn't "for more than ten years" at all! He moved to Europe in 2019 > Now it is 2024.

could have used the word idiot instead of retard
Max called Stroll a retard and other things a couple of years ago but got nothing more than a slap on the wrists. Usual F1 double standards at play.

That's because the rules changed after that incident to better police it in future:

In 2020, the regulation broken by Yuki actually didn't exist at all. 12.1.1 was the closest to it:
12.1.1
Any of the following offences, in addition to any offences specifically referred to previously, shall be deemed to be a breach of these rules:
[...]
12.1.1.f
Any words, deeds or writings that have caused moral injury or loss to the FIA, its bodies, its members or its executive officers.
For 2021 the ISC was updated and added:
12.2.1.k
Any Misconduct towards:
• licence-holders,
• officials,
• officers or member of the staff of the FIA
• members of the staff of the Organiser or promoter
• members of the staff of the Competitors,
• doping control officials or any other person involved in a doping control carried out in accordance with Appendix A.
The regulations were also updated for 2021 to formally define "misconduct":
Misconduct: to be understood in particular but not limited to:
- insulting, especially by using offensive gestures, signs or language (written or verbal),
- assaulting (elbowing, kicking, punching, hitting, etc.).
This year they changed 12.2.1.k presumably to catch more behaviour:
12.2.1.k
Any Misconduct
And the definition of misconduct covers a wider range now:
Misconduct: to be understood in particular but not limited to:
- the general use of language (written or verbal), gesture and/or sign that is offensive, insulting, coarse, rude or abusive and might reasonably be expected or be perceived to be coarse or rude or to cause offense, humiliation or to be inappropriate,
- assaulting (elbowing, kicking, punching, hitting, etc.).
So I would say quite clearly it's not double standard in this case but the FIA clamping down on bad behaviour, and reacting to the Verstappen situation which the rules didn't allow to be policed properly

Why should he use the word idiot when he meant f*cking slow?

Retarded means also slow and that is what he meant to say.

Btw, was this radio remark from Yuki relayed to the TV feed that's meant for the public ? I hope not, because in that case the live broadcast editor needs to fined before punishing the driver.

It seems almost impossible that anyone can catch Verstappen in today's race but I am expect a good race for the second and third spot.

what do they smoke ? start on hard ? LOL

anyway I think that most of drivers don't have 2 sets of hard, interestingly RedBull saved two hards for the race, maybe they saw something ?

ok maybe yesterday they were hacked because now they have published a much more realistic prediction

I wish they would say roughly how much longer the other stops are to the fastest one

They no longer even claim to know which strategy will be fastest anymore. Pirelli just offer possibilities now

Last year RB did a M-M-H-M which wasn't on the cards before the weekend

May Red Bull start with used medium to save a new set for later in the race just in case the hard proves to be a bad race tyre ?
