Incredible how well balanced and fast the car is. Its like the “base/core” of the car is just so good, so no matter which df package they apply it just works and its “easy” to extract maximum performance, what an insane job from mclaren  simply i credible

I've seen an F1 video regarding Red Bull removing illegal parts from their car when asked by the FIA and some claim that happened at Miami amd that causes them to dip in form. If that is true it makes me wonder if the championships and records they broke in 2022 and 2023 were illegal.
You're stretching so much I think you might end up needing a chiropractor!

Do we perhaps see the rise of a new era? A Papaya Mclaren Era?

Yes. The chassis is great. But in particular the suspension and the ability to keep the floor in an optimal space, as you say, no matter what you put on top.

The car is always planted and flat to the ground.

This is just not true. Let's think about it, how likely is that McLaren brings a big update (Miami) that lets them overtake Ferrari and Mercedes (cleanly) at the same race that Red Bull has FIA make them remove "illegal parts" from the car.

It just does not make sense. If you remove McLaren from the picture, Red Bull would have a super dominant season so far but with less of a gap in races. Verstappen would have won in 5 of 7 last races, only Silverstone and Monaco would have been wins by Mercedes and Ferrari.

McLaren made a monster of an upgrade in Miami and now they are extracting performance from it. That is true. FIA did nothing to Red Bull.

And isn't Rob Marshall known to be a suspension specialist? It is interesting to see Red Bull struggling with suspension and McLaren being great with it.

Lando also really strong. Reassuring to see the gap to Mercedes and Ferrari as well. The less disturbance they have with the rest, the higher the chances for the race win. (Assuming no rain and Verstappen penalty)
That is quite complicated. With Verstappen having a penalty, you'd want Mercedes and Ferrari to be decently fast so Verstappen can't overtake them. A balancing act, you don't want them too fast but not too slow either.

But yeah, looks like the car has good pace. With this pace it should be a win on Sunday.
My thoughts exactly about the Mercs and Ferraris

Perhaps it is what you said and the video might be making excuses but I dont really trust the FIA considering their past.

Still we can safely say that Mclaren is rising from its ashes like a Papaya Phoenix and writes new history.

This suspension was in place at testing, 6 weeks after his official start, I think? But I'm sure he'll add to it. They did a good job already though.

That's a nod to Rob Marshall, who achieved the exact same thing with Red Bull in years gone by.

Edit: slow on the reply there, also mentioned by someone else.

And we are doing it without Andrian Newey. Imagine if we signed him also.

A more moderately loaded beam wing on Oscar's car at the start of FP2.

Is Lando running the fp1 wing?
No. Lando has the same beam wing as Oscar. Same option with a larger area and angle of attack.
