Andy Cowell starts working today.

I am not so worried about Newey, his ideas will find the way to the team. More worried about "organizer" Cardile, who only joins before the summer break in 2025 according to media. A bit late.

Can you confirm this whit a source?
So that we know it's not one of yours usual wishful thinking post.
Thanks.

Aston Martin at Barcelon for two day tyre test. will it help them in this year car?
It's not supposed to, but every team who does this before has shown improvement over the next few races.
hope so .. we will come to know in next GP

That is in theory, Ferrari indeed tested few parts in her last test. The issue with Aston is that since Hungary they have nothing ( apparently ) ready to test so we don’t know what they can test other than different set-ups on the current car.

Few weeks we got some news about new side pods then nothing new.

In my opinion nothing significant will come until they start working with the new wind tunnel.

They had to use last years car. This is how rumors are started.

I apologise, I double checked and Ferrari tested a major F1 upgrade package during the Fiorano test but it was a “filming day” and not a Pirelli test.

Whoever they call it filming day but it was a FIA-designed mudflap test…

What's the point of using an old car?

1st filming day: AMR24 to test the car (Febuary)
2nd filming day: AMR24 to test updates (July)
Pirelli test: AMR24 with 2025 prototype tyres at Spa (2 days in July)
Pirelli test: (adapted) AMR23 with 2026 prototype tyres (2 days in September)

FP2 in Mexico will be extended by 30 minutes that drivers can test 2025 protype tyres.

Downforce for 2026 cars will be reduced by 30% (FIA). Will always be hard to simulate that in tests like last week.

I thought the 2026 tyres test was an AMR22 rather than AMR23 visually. But maybe I'm wrong.

Had the same thoughts, but the media reports say a modified AMR23. Although I am no AMR follower pre 2023, for an obvious reason…

Well the FIA impose using last year's car to hinder the testing team from getting and advantage from the test. It's probably the only way teams would allow the testing to get done.

Much to my surprise, this says AMR24

That was the Spa Pirelli tests, we meant the recent Barcelona ones with Drugovich testing the 2026 prototype tyres. Some media said AMR23 but it seemed an AMR22.

I showed a link earlier that that was the AMR23.

I posted this new link cause it surprised me that there was a 2025 tire test with the AMR24 at SPA.

I don't know how much Lawrence is paying Alonso in brown envelopes, but this is why it's hard to see Verstappen on the team, helping Lance.
