Still cold-ish ... a while ago it was Qatar that was even harder dan S'pore according to half the field right ?

I see 24C for quali, 25 for race ..
.
Those temps are Saturday and Sunday at noon, not in the evening when the quali (9 PM) and race (7 PM) take place.
I was looking at the real temp instead of the ambient temp (because of winds).
Might be a dusty weekend ..

Regarding those lateral loads and wear, last year most made it a 3-stop race iirc ?
Last year they had a maximum stint length instituted due to cuts being found on the tyres after the sprint caused by the aggressive curbs. One imagines this will have been fixed for this season?

I have a feeling Mercedes are going to be strong around this circuit, I'm going with a Russell win, I can see another dominant weekend from him.

I will call it a Verstappen win from start to finish. But will see, everything what happens from now is a bonus. :)

Since when did we stop using DNF notation and start using OUT? Such a dumb change.

They've rounded off the tips of the curbs on 7 corners of the track and tested the tires already with samples of the new curbs

The removal of the curbs is good for Mercedes and Red Bull.

Also the circuit is likely to have higher micro-roughness than last year, even if the kerbs are small now. So the punishment to the tyres will continue.

In 2023 the circuit had been relaid recently, and by the time of the grand Prix they had not had time to finish the water surface treatment programme that they wanted to carry out. I expect this will have been finished in the intervening 12 months
