It is what it is. Obviously, if they have to use Merc's Tunnel they will.NAPI10 wrote: ↑07 Mar 2025, 14:59If AM can start using from this month; not that bad for 26 car. Some reprieveRikrikrik wrote: ↑07 Mar 2025, 13:11About new wind tunnel from De La Rosa...

There are rumors that Aston was Sandbagging the most but also had the most issues. Without DRS they were the only team that consistently topped out at 290-298 compared to the 310-318 set by everyone else. Overall pace is a confusions, the car is gonna struggle in slow Circuits for sure but it's expected to be a Rocket in the straight line. Maybe even the fastest. True pace will only be clear in Japan and Bahrain but there is strong evidence showing the cars expected to be really fast in high speeds especially in a straight.-wkst- wrote: ↑10 Mar 2025, 10:11A bit opinion and gossip from Michael Schmidt (AMuS):
Like all others he doesn't know if the car is fast or not, looking at the test programme, he hears that it is more predictable but (in comparison to others over the year) not quicker. He means that this programme looked like a big data collection for Newey, who will look over it, now having all the designs of the car too.
In comparison to other journalists Schmidt is sure that Newey will work on the 2025 car, especially if it is not competitive, because Stroll sen. won't tolerate a season being 7th or 8th fastest. He remembers that he did something similar at Williams 1990.
Briatore told Schmidt that Stroll/AMR is still very active recruiting engineers from other teams, Briatore and others wonder how many more engineers they try to recruit.
If that was the case then why they were struggling in sec 1 and sec 3 in Bahrain testing. They were not able to set mini personal green sector lap after lap always had yellow so actually they are struggling with pace too anyway everything will be clear in Australian gp how fast they are in straight line.Ashwinv16 wrote: ↑11 Mar 2025, 05:17There are rumors that Aston was Sandbagging the most but also had the most issues. While some of the straight line speed stuff is true, it could also be down to the fact that they're carrying just too much drag. The high tyre wear was a feature of the car towards the end of last season and based on testing data seems to be this season as well. i think they will 9-15 in quali and slightly worse in race pace.Ashwinv16 wrote: ↑11 Mar 2025, 05:17There are rumors that Aston was Sandbagging the most but also had the most issues. Alonso:
It seems there is some hope on development. If you get an upgrade package right, it changes your season. We will have upgrades on the car and if one of those revives the car, suddenly you can fight for much better things. We shouldn't take the grid order during the first few races for granted.
There are no such thing just stay as rumours. I can show you many telemetry where the Aston was only faster in the corners instead of straight. If you choose day2 stroll fastest lap at 5 lap old tyres and fueled for at least 5 lap (after 5 lap went in the box) ,then you can see that they top speed always was very low like 310-312km/h ,but at corners was faster than Mercedes, Ferrari.Ashwinv16 wrote: ↑11 Mar 2025, 05:17There are rumors that Aston was Sandbagging the most but also had the most issues. He will for sure give his feedback on 2025's car. I think when he can spot an elementary error which is fixable within update package plan, he can already bring 1 - 3 tenths during this season.
