Nico Rosberg has led the way on the one but last day of pre-season testing. The German set a time of 1:20.686 despite having a stoppage with 45 minutes left on the clock. Nico was almost a second quicker than Buemi and completed a massive 128 laps.
Minimum weight for the cars is up up by 10kg? this year, then there are the narrower front tyres and i guess with 3 practice sessions to rubber in the track last year before Q2, the 2009 cars should be a little faster, but it looks close.godlameroso wrote:Last year's Q3 Pole lap was a 1:20.527, that was on a two stopper, if this is the best they can do running on fumes then they succeeded in slowing the cars down a bit.

You can sorta add the extra 20kg and put the time of year as a factor somewhat. No driver can extraxt more than 100% from the car, Not Senna, nor MS nor THE BOSS.ringo wrote:Only Button can show the true pace of the Mclaren. Hamilton will make the car look better than it actually is. The competition is looking pretty tight, but that is when driver ability comes through.
