Well based on final Test times it looks like the top 3 teams for 2010 are MacMerc, RedBull & Ferrari!

Damn it's gonna be a good season! 8)

The only driver to get under 1:20 was Barichello during Q2, also he had the fastest lap of the race a 1:22.762
Minimum weight for the cars is up up by 10kg? this year, then there are the narrower front tyres and i guess with 3 practice sessions to rubber in the track last year before Q2, the 2009 cars should be a little faster, but it looks close.
Imagine Hamilton said the Mp4 25 is light years ahead of the 24 and it's still slower than Barichello's time last year.

You can sorta add the extra 20kg and put the time of year as a factor somewhat. I have no clue how you would do it though.

My Massa figures:

Test 1: Distance: 905.130 Laps: 226 @ 4.005 Km a lap
Test 2: Distance: 960.876 Laps: 217 @ 4.428 Km a lap
Test 3: Distance: 726.192 Laps: 164 @ 4.428 Km a lap
Test 4: Distance: 1,068.285 Laps: 229 @ 4.665 Km a lap

I think its my Barcelona lap distance that is the difference.
Check your Test 2 (Jerez I) lap count as well:
Massa covered 232 instead of 217 laps.

Distance: 1,027.296 Laps: 232

OK. The problem is length of the lap then.

Is not 1 lap at Barcelona 4655 m long (10 m shorter than you count with)?

That make my data more secure. Thanks for the help!

Also thanks for that link as i can now go and make the test data for 2009 and 2008 more secure as well. Just a pitty i cant find the test data for 2006 and 2007 and that would be great for my charts for those years, as i havnt gottn round to adding them to those charts yet.

It looks like MSfree is not offering a data record tonight. Real shame because I got used to the service.

nice shot of 'the boss' from 3:33 to 3:38, doing what he does best (driving incredibly slowly)...the boss is dead, long live THE HAUS!! (Vettel)

That's Button........He is not the BOSS

You'll have to wait till race day to see Alonso and Hamilton clash! Have you ever seen anyone reel in the BOSS like that before?

Alonso is just mentally preparing, by pretending Jenson is Hamilton.

Vettel now; ........... :-k

No driver can extraxt more than 100% from the car, Not Senna, nor MS nor THE BOSS.

Hamilton extracts more than Button from the car but even still not 100% as it is probably inhumanly possible to do so. Hamilton can not make the car "look better" than it is... Button just makes it "look worse". When looking at the performance of the car an engineer would look towards the faster driver and conclude that he is closer to 100% of its capability.

Fan of THE BOSS I am... but let's keep it reasonable please.
